9057 R/C Remote Control Helicopter Review

9057 R/C Remote Control Helicopter

•    Speed /height
5/5

My god, only one word needed, PPOOOOWWWEEEEEERRRRRR. HUGE motors, HUGE cogs and even an independent motor and cogs for the tail rotor, raw size and power will blow anything else out of the sky!
•    Handling
 4/5

If you take it slow and concentrate on control this copter can do amazing things, it all again comes down to the power, if you dive right in it'll be up and gone and out of control before you know it! but if your skilled, or take your time, it'll be great!
•    Looks
4/5

Really good looking heli' even looking at it you get the feel of power with it's immense size, everything to do with this helicopter is just big and powerful!
•    Price
4/5

Although this is a pretty expensive copter I think it’s well worth it, if your interested in customization you can do it all, exciting controlled flying, it can do it, your not going to want or need anything else so it’s well worth the price.
    Control Range
5/5

The only way your going to get higher and further away is with a real life helicopter very very high, and far away, and all the way back brilliant.
•    Battery Usage
5/5

As with a lot of copters this doesn’t use batteries but does come with a plug in charger and you’ll need 4 AA batteries for the controller but mine are yet to run out yet after a few hours of fun.
•    Controller
3/5

Not the best of controllers with this one, it’s pretty big and chunky but does give you the feel that if you need a controller this big that it’s going to be controlling something mega, has all your needs on it up down, left right, around and around rudder control, aerial even has small feet to stand it up.
    Over view

Excellent, brilliant and you won’t find much better without selling your house to pay for it, it’s got everything, height, ability, control, looks, price, customizability, and that one thing that i've not yet mentioned, POWER, wouldn't let younger kids near it without supervision but teenagers should just be able to control it
I wouldn’t recommend anything else 5 out of 5 for me.

Radio Controlled Ferrari 1:18 Scale

1:18 Scale model Radio Control Ferrari

•    Speed
3/5

Nothing special about the speed of this car, but it’s not going to disappoint either but plenty of fun still enough speed to get some sideways action if your on the right terrain and is alot faster than most other cars in this price range, or abit dearer.
•    Handling
 4/5

Brilliant handling with this car much like the previous Nissan and BMW your not going to be doing hardcore drifting or high speeds but you can handle your car more than adequately for pretty much anything you might want to do, gives more of a realistic driving experience rather than a toy one.
•    Looks
 4/5

Great looking car, it doesn’t have masses of detail on it but certainly looks like a very beautiful scale model of the dream super car Ferrari, fully working lights front and back, as well as a small flashing LED light inside so you know it's on and working, and a pretty nifty light show in the dark
    Price
 4/5

Priced in at around 10 pounds you really cannot complain, very cheap enjoyable, exciting and beautiful little car

•    Control Range
 3/5

No real complaints in this section, but nothing to write home about either, decent enough range and control as you’d expect with a car of this style of car.

    Battery Usage
  2.5/5

As with all of our tests we were using the same very cheap batteries in this case 4 AA batteries in the car and 2 AA batteries in the controller, we did have a few problems in this department, it might of been because we we're using the same recycled cheap batteries from previous tests but it wasn't the best and drained them pretty quickly
•    Controller
3/5

Uses 2 AA batteries, very small compact and simple controller nothing special on it, just does what it's there for can't complain but can't say anything about it.

•    Over view

This Ferrari is a very good car, decent looks, great drive, reasonably detailed and a lot of fun I would say it’s more for the younger kinds below the age of about 12/13 to enjoy fully, or for anyone who has ever dreamt of owning their very own Ferrari but for the cheap price anyone else would still be able to have a lot of fun with it, all in all I’d give it a 4 out of 5.

2 Radio Controlled Infra-red fighting tanks

2 Radio Controlled Infra-red fighting tanks

These two small tanks are a lot of fun, each one has a sensor on-top which picks up if you get shot, 1 shot from the main gun, or 5 from the quick fire machine-gun will result in the loss of a life, 4 lives gone and your tank will shut down  and you will be dead!
•    Speed
3/5

Speed and movement isn’t the main aim of these tanks, it’s all about the fight so don’t be expecting to be zooming around, but you will get decent speed for a tank, realistic track driving and speed.
•    Handling
 4/5

Good handling, with the two slightly different tanks they each have slightly different abilities making this pair of tanks a bit more like a real life fight, the slightly larger one has that bit more speed, but cannot turn as quickly and easily, and the smaller one has less power, but more control but both tanks have an amazing ability to climb over things much better than many much bigger tanks.
•    Looks
4/5

Decent enough looks, not the most indepth and detailed tanks, but they looks good enough, and you will probably need to buy a scale model to get better detail, very good.
•    Price
3/5

Could be a little cheaper, but with the price of other Rc/toys about this is actually a pretty good price especially for what your getting, double the normal, two tanks! What price could you put on 2 kids quiet and having fun together?!
•    Control Range
4/5

Nothing to complain about, because these tanks run on infrared  the range isn’t going to be massive, but as infrared goes it’s pretty damn good!, we didn’t have any problems on our normal testing ground
•    Battery Usage
5/5

Each tank has it’s own rechargeable battery pack and plug in charger which last a long time, and charge up reasonably quickly and these tanks have 4 batteries in each controller which like most controllers will last and last and last!
•    Controller
4/5

Colour coded with the tank which I think is a nice little touch, good feel in the hands and nice controls, ridged directional sticks to give you that bit more grip, and nice easy to reach and use buttons for the turret control and firing mechanism
•    Gun
5/5

very fine guns on these tanks, each one has a realistic sounding gunshot and even has recoil from each shot and really does give a deadly feel to each shot, and whilst the turret is spinning you can use the same firing buttons as a machine gun.
•    Over view
Overall a lot of fun, looks really good, great guns, really good interaction with the other tank, amazing climbing and driving ability, good price, I’d recommend them, excellent.  4 out of 5

Exclusive 9059 radio controlled gunship helicopter Review

9059 radio controlled gunship helicopter review

Now we have an exclusive review of this excellent helicopter before its UK release!!
According to the box this beauty has a lifelike contour design that provides excellent stability and operability and high speed ability, and perhaps more importantly and what I think all copters should have, a high efficient gear slowdown system with super strong crash worthy propellers

•    Speed /height
3/5

Your not gonna be getting this helicopter miles into the sky but it is going to get pretty high still and more than high enough to enjoy overall it’s pretty good but could be abit better.
•    Handling
 5/5

Amazing handling/control with this ‘chopper the best we’ve had, you’ll be spinning around turning going backwards, forwards left right everything, we had a lot of fun with this.
Looks
4/5

Reasonable looking heli’ with a plastic moulded body, looks abit like a medic copter but very good and a lot of lights around it, including a motion light on the rotor that especially in the dark/night time gives you a very exciting rave style light show as you fly.
•    Price
3/5

Not really sure about the price of this as it’s an exclusive to us at the moment and isn’t yet released until sometime next month, but I’d expect it to be a pretty good amount, especially for how good the copter is!

•    Control Range
4/5

We’ve had no problems with the range of this helicopter even with dwindling batteries it’s been near on perfect with the range, unless you try to fly it miles away you won’t have any problems
•    Battery Usage
5/5

The controller runs off 4 AA batteries and they last as with most controllers, and the helicopter it’s self has a li-polymer battery with a plug in charger, and lasts for a good hour or so of full on use!

•    Controller
4/5

Great controller with this, looks abit retro and has a lot of styling on it to look pretty technical, there’s also a left/right trim control on that allows that extra bit of control if it happens to be going off to 1 side, aswell as a power light bar at the top that lights up as you up the power.

•    Over view
Over all this is an excellent RC helicopter, looks good with pretty unique fun lights on the balance rotor, amazing handling allowing near perfect flight, great controller with everything you could want, and abit more, and great range. I’d suggest it for about 13 and up and give it a rating of a high 4 out of 5.

Radio Controlled Subaru Impreza WRC 1:18 Licenced

Radio Controlled Subaru Impreza WRC 1:18 Licenced Review

•    Speed
4/5

Really good speed with this little car, quite surprising based on the little size but it can really move quite a lot faster than some of the bigger cars!
•    Handling
 4/5

Much like the speed  this car has great handling, and with the most simple controls it’s very easy to get around the corners, and with the speed if you get a smooth an slightly slippery floor you can even get abit of drift action on the go!
•    Looks
  4/5

superb looking car with great detail, it’s like having your very own tiny rally Subaru really good detail very nice looking car.
•    Price
  4/5

Really cheap car actually, it may be a small car but it is a lot of  fun and well worth the price, fast, great looks, great handling very good!
Control Range
 3/5

Nothing special but still very good you’ll struggle to get to far away to lose control.

•    Battery Usage
  4/5

As with most cars nowadays this comes with a built in battery and plug in charger which will last a long long time and the normal couple of batteries in the controller that will last more than long enough, excellent.
•    Controller
4/5

Simplicity seems to be the main aim from this controller, the simplest 4 button control, backwards, forwards, left and right big easy to use simple buttons no fuss very nice to use.
•    Over view
All in all this Mini Subaru rally car is a lot better than I was expecting, has great speed, really detailed looks, easy nice controller, great cheap price, really good handling, I would recommend to anyone whose a fan of the Subaru, scale models, or the younger kids, basically almost anyone can massively enjoy this car
I’d give it a 4 out of 5

Radio Controlled Earth Mover 3058-1 Construction digger

Radio Controlled Earth Mover 3058-1 Review

•    Speed
2/5

No real speed with this digger, but you wouldn’t expect to be racing about while doing the construction and it moves fast enough to do it’s job.
•    Handling
 3/5

As with the speed you wouldn’t be expecting spot on high speed cornering but it has quite a unique system where the front half of the body moves from left to right instead of just the wheels to steer, not the best but it turns and gives the feel of a real construction vehicle.
•    Looks
3/5

As this is just a replica model of a digger there’s not really much it can do in the way of looks but with mud effect tires and everything a real digger has it certainly does its job, although it’s not the best looking thing.
•    Price
 3/5

Pretty decent price, you get a nice big functional digger, looks like a digger, performs reasonable enough nice fair price.
•    Control Range
  3/5

Nothing amazing with this, it’s not gonna reach miles but can do more than enough and its doubtful you’ll encounter problems.
•    Battery Usage
 3/5

Same as most of the bigger vehicles with this, a built in rechargeable battery that comes with it’s own plug in charger and will last for a pretty long time, and only requires 1 9V battery in the controller which again will last a long long time.
•    Controller
2.5/5

Uses 1 9V battery pretty usual forward and backwards, and left and right motion along with 2 buttons below the control sticks to move the digger bucket up and down nice easy to use and colour coded with the digger, but I just get the feeling of cheapness with this controller, although it does everything and very capably it just doesn’t feel very durable. .
•    Over view
All in all this is a very good construction vehicle, really good size, great ability to pick up things and drop them, decent enough movements and an okay controller, all for a reasonable price not the best but is more than enough to keep the kids entertained for me it just gets a 3 out of 5.

Mini R/C Remote Control Stunt Vehicle

R/C Stunt Vehicle Review

•    Speed
3/5

Pretty good speed from this little car, although you’ll spend most of your time spinning and flipping around at high speeds, but you won’t be wanting for straight line either.

•    Handling
 3/5

The amount of spins, flips, and stunts you’ll be doin with this mini beast will keep your more than satisfied, you might find it abit tricky to drive around a corner, but your not gonna be wanting to do that with this, it’s all about the stunts.

•    Looks
2/5

Not really great looks on this, but it’s not about the looks, reasonable enough looks and colours to attract the younger kids, but other than that nothing exciting.
•    Price
 3/5

Nice cheap little car, and all contained in a nice little tub created with the controller, great for train journeys, or to keep the kids busy anywhere for a little while.

•    Control Range
  3/5

No real complaints in this section, nice control range, your not gonna want much range as ya gonna spend most the time spinning around doing the little stunts within a few feet, but you can get a pretty decent range either way.
•    Battery Usage
  4/5

Only needs a couple of batteries in the controller which are going to last for months and months which in turn charge up the car within a matter of minutes with a built in contained wire that simply plugs into the car, very good.
•    Controller
3/5

Uses 4 AA batteries, pretty normal. Not the most comfortable shape but works well, really simple button controls, built in charger for the car in a see through end section, and connects to the top casing to create the tub for the car, not to bad overall, pretty original ideas.

•    Over view
Over all it’s not a bad little car, charges up within minutes, looks bright and colourful, easy use, a lot of fun, can be used with practically no space easily, I’d recommend it for the younger kids to spin and flip about, below the ages of around 13, anything more would get bored reasonably quickly but overall I’d give it a 3 out of 5.
