Radio Controlled Mini Cooper 1:10 Scale model

Radio Controlled Mini Cooper 1:10 Scale model Review

  DSCF1783

Mini Speed
3/5

Reasonable enough speed with this beauty, but a car like this is more about looks, you won't be going slowly but not going to be speeding off either not really much to say goes about as fast as you'd expect, the surface your on can make quite abit of difference as well.
•    Mini Handling
3/5

Much like the speed the handling for this is nothing amazing, yes it'll turn just as much as you want and you won't be having to go left, then back and right, then left again to get around a corner, more like a realistic car driving in miniature than a fast crazy toy which with it being more of a scale model than a ‘toy’, you'd expect.
•   Mini Looks
5/5

exceptionally beautiful car, much like a real mini it has everything, the iconic body shape, the two tone paint (roof/wing mirrors + body), fully working front and rear lights, a near perfect reconstruction of a real life mini inside along with the minis very own large rev counter/Speedo, add in working doors which is pretty rare nowadays, and LED lights both inside and behind each wheel, as well as the possibility of driving with it’s own soundtrack, it plays music!!.
 Mini Price
3/5

This car is so beautiful it's worth it for just the use as a scale model sitting on a shelf, add to the fact you can have loads of fun driving it!, well worth it, it’s alot cheaper than the real thing!!
DSCF1769
•   Mini Control Range
3/5

No real complaints in this section, but nothing to write home about either, decent enough range and control as you’d expect with a car of this style and size.

•   Mini Battery Usage
3/5

again, very good a plug in rechargeable battery to in the car and two AA batteries that come in the box, a nice little touch both last for a long time as usual depending on how much you use, and having the music on will make the battery run out that little bit quicker.

•  Mini Controller
4/5

Uses 2 AA batteries with a system where it’s only on when your actively driving it so the batteries will last that bit longer, a pretty simple controller, backwards and forwards stick and a left and right, what more could you really need though.

•   Mini radio controlled scale model Over view
Overall this Mini is a brilliant RC car, amazing looks, reasonable speed great control and a price that’s not too shabby I wouldn’t recommend it to the hardcore speed freak but superb car for the younger kids aged anything up to 13, or for someone just looking to have a lil’ play about or for something not to frightening or for those fans of the Mini or of beautiful model cars

I’d give it a high 3.5 out of 5 over all, moderate car, not the best but certainty not the worst.

1:10th scale licensed radio control car citroen Xsara VTS

1:10th scale licensed radio control car citroen Xsara VTS Review

DSCF1739

•    Speed
4/5

A pretty speedy car, maybe not one of the fastest but on the right terrain you won’t find yourself wanting although it can be a little sluggish to get moving on rough terrain, but as it’s meant to be a track race car, that would be expected.
•    Handling
4/5

Much like the speed the handling isn’t the greatest, but on the right terrain and with the right track you will find yourself turning perfectly fine and even on all terrain it’ll still turn and even spin perfectly fine.
•    Looks
4/5

This car, as with most of the bigger better RC cars has a simple overlay plastic body, with graphics to look like the Citroën Xsara track car with all the same graphics for the driver, sponsors, lights, grill everything also including some really nice looking alloy wheels and small LED lights just behind each wheel which gives an amazing look if driving in the dark!
•    Price
4/5

Reasonable price for this, quite abit cheaper than the next stage up (drift cars etc) but with still alot of the same joys it’s not only alot of fun to just drive, but then you can also spend hour upon hour replacing the various bits, modding everything and anything to create your very own customised high performance RC car exactly how you want it, you'd have to get a real car to get anything better in that department.
•    Control Range
4/5

Big aerial on car and controller, decently built and priced so as you’d expect it has a fairly high standard, and this carries on with the control range.
•    Battery Usage
5/5

a built rechargeable battery as with most cars, and 1 9V battery for the controller which comes in the box along with the car so you won’t be left searching through the draws for that battery you saw last Christmas, both last for a long long time no complaints.
•    Controller
4/5

Uses 6 AA batteries in the base, very big manly feeling controller that full of gadgets, you can adjust the positioning of the 'trigger', invert the forward and backwards motion and the steering if you'd prefer, you can even adjust the wheel angle of your car if it's pulling to 1 side, or you for whatever reason want to aim a certain direction, Or if you find it’s not quiet set up right for you, a slight edit of the trim can set it perfectly.

•    Over view

Really really good car, looks great, good speed, handling, controller and battery life, and underneath the body, and the unique and very good protective box holding the inner workings of this car, plenty to chop and change, improve and create your own perfect RC car, recommended for the mid age, between 12 upwards, and i’d give it a 4 out of 5.

Radio Controlled Mechanical Flying Bird ST0001

Radio Controlled Mechanical life like flapping Flying Bird ST0001

buggy 024

Speed /height
5/5

Amazingly superbly immense!, I was a little sceptical at first before flying this Mechanical bird, but once it started flapping it’s huge wings you can straight away sense the amount of power and once you let it go, it really goes!. you WILL need a very large open field to fly this, but it’s well worth it your own giant bird, under your control.

Handling
  3/5

As you can imagine it’s a giant bird, with flapping wings and everything else a bird needs, so it is a little difficult to control, especially as, like me, your probably not going to be anywhere near used to flying a bird!, but you can pick it up just about quickly and that will allow you to at least to do the basics and enjoy it, landing is a bit of a difficult task though

Looks

4/5

Large patterned wings and tail, both very bright and colourful with a birdlike feather effect and a foam protective body, and bird like ‘head’; a pretty good looking bird, the pure size of the wings is enough and, especially when it’s in flight it' does look like a real bird, amazing.

Price
4/5

for the size, power and pure flight ability it’s well worth it and i certainly haven't seen any other bird, let alone one as good as this, well worth shelling out for.

Control Range
5/5

As i said previously you will need a very large field to fly this beast so you can imagine you will need, and indeed do get amazing range a good 30,40,50 foot away and in the air and you’ll still have it under control, very very good!.

 Battery Usage
5/5

a build in lithium battery with a plug in charger that will charge in a similar time to most things, leaving it over night will give you a fully charged battery, and a good half hour at least of full on flapping at top power!

Controller
4/5

Pretty normal and simple controller, up down, left right, faster slower. Simple to hold and use, wit ha very large Ariel.

Over view

All in all this is an immense, huge and powerful VERY enjoyable RC bird, looks great, a decent price for a pretty original and amazing thing, good battery life, and well worth getting 5 out of 5 from me, Buy it, put it together, enjoy it, you will not regret it!

Syma S026 Micro Chinook Cargo Transport Plane 3 Channel Indoor Ready to Fly RC Remote Control Helicopter

Syma S026 Micro Chinook Cargo Transport Plane 3 Channel Indoor Ready to Fly RC Remote Control Helicopter

•    Speed /height
4/5

As this ‘copter is supposed to be an mainly indoor heli don’t expect to be flying around the clouds but the double rotor gives it, as you'd expect double the power and ability of normal helicopters, and because of this power, you have alot more control over a larger area than any other indoor helicopter.

•    Handling
  5/5

Again as i said in the previous section this Chinook has amazing range for an indoor helicopter which allows you more control and better handling over a larger distance, and with the double rotor system, front and back you get unprecedented control , as you'd expect with 2 rotors, you get double the control amazing ability to hover, twist and turn.

  • Looks
4/5

Really decent looking helicopter, plastic moulded body with the classic unmistakable Chinook transport helicopter, very sturdy and can withstand most crashes which gives this rc helicopter yet another advantage over most

  • Price
3/5

Pretty reasonable priced copter and worth the money in my opinion you gonna have a lot of fun even on them rainy days sat inside flying this little beauty around your house.

•    Control Range
3/5

As this is a mainly indoor copter don’t be expecting miles and miles but it certainly has enough for the indoors and plenty for outside, will far surpass any other indoor helicopter you may find, certainly for anything near the same price.

•
  Battery Usage
5/5

The controller runs off 6 AA batteries and expect them to last, even if they are cheap and the helicopter it’s self can be charged with a plug in charger that will charge it up reasonably quickly, and the fully charged helicopter will last for a long, long time.

•    Controller
4/5

Great controller bright and colourful, has everything you need in terms of controls that are very easy to manoeuvre.

•    Over view

Overall this indoor RC Chinook helicopter is one of the best, not only indoor but all helicopters in general, with it's front and back rotor/balance bar that gives double the power, control and ability, and a very reasonable price, i would recommend it to anyone that wants to start out, with it's small size but immense power and control it offers the fun and excitement needed, but the strength to withstand the learner crashes

I'd give it a 5 out of 5, amazing!

1:10TH SCALE HSP XSTR 4WD RC OFF-ROAD BUGGY

1:10TH SCALE HSP XSTR 4WD RC OFF-ROAD BUGGY

This off-road buggy is one of the best cars we've ever seen let alone had the pleasure of driving, for a car so big it can really move, theres so much to this buggy, from the moulded aerodynamic body, to the big spoiler at the back, amazing.

With this R/C monster trucks big, knobbly off-road tires you will never find yourself needing more grip, whether your on grass, concrete, mud or a rough mix of all 3 you'll have full speed, full grip and near perfect and perhaps some of the best turning/handling we've experienced, independent hydraulic operated turning and independent fully functional suspension again aids with not only a stylish strong technical look, and offers a better drive, you will simply drive over any and everything in your way!

With built in high tension bumper bars at front and rear that protect the main body and inner workings from any crashes you will have nothing to worry about with this, you can repeatedly go full speed into a solid concrete block if you would so wish to, and not find anything destroyed, shaken or even scratched!

interchangeable bodies can choose from several different styles colours and shapes, and adjustable height of the body on the chassis  with simple pins, meaning that within seconds you can basically have a completely different car!

this 1:10th scale 4 wheel drive off-road monster truck, is going to cost you quite a large amount but it's well worth it, not only is it simply a great drive and alot of fun, there's endless possibilities to change, swap, improve everything on it, from new wheels, rims, suspension, batteries, engine, antenna, body, you name it you can change and improve it, imagine spending hours upon hours under a car bonnet, well this is just like that only abit smaller!

Really good control range with this R/C car, we didn't even attach the antenna onto the car but still got amazing distance using just the unravelled antenna wire! so imagine a good 30 40 feet at-least with the antenna on before you even think about losing your control.

rechargeable plug in battery that lasts for ages from our tests quite a bit longer than the normal aswell, especially as this car has alot of power thus needs alot of energy!

The controller uses a hand full of normal AA batteries and with most controllers, they don't really require too much battery power so they last and last and last and this big simple controller has the ability to change left/right trim, and reverse backwards and forwards on motion trigger and reverse left/right on twist wheel all quickly easily and straight away meaning no matter where or when your driving, you can get it perfect!

Free Bird Q31 4CH Mini Indoor Helicopter with Gyro

Free Bird Q31 4CH Mini Indoor Helicopter with gyro review

•    Speed /height
3/5

As this ‘copter is supposed to be an mainly indoor heli don’t expect to be flying around the clouds but with it’s infrared controls you can get a decent height and distance more than enough for even the biggest house, and plenty for outside fun too although be prepared to get running after it outside if you fly to far.

•    Handling
 4/5

Again as it’s been made and designed as an indoor ‘copter so your going to get control enough to whiz around the living room so there’s defiantly going to be enough handling for all your needs no disappointments.

  • Looks
3/5

Great looking small helicopter metal frame colour coded with the rear fin plastic front cover which I believe to be customizable, very good and solid looking.
  • Price
3/5

Pretty reasonable priced copter and worth the money in my opinion you gonna have a lot of fun even on them rainy days sat inside flying this little beauty around your house.

•    Control Range
3/5

As this is a mainly indoor copter don’t be expecting miles and miles but it certainly has enough for the indoors and just enough for outside, very good.

•    Battery Usage
5/5

The controller runs off 6 AA batteries and expect them to last, even if they are cheap and the helicopter it’s self can either be charged from any USB port using the wire provided, or from the controller which has it’s own built in wire in a nice little slot which I believe to be unique to this and means it can be charged up anywhere.

•    Controller
3.5/5

Great controller bright and colourful, has everything you need in terms of controls that are very easy to manoeuvre and the nice built in charger for the helicopter makes it that bit better.

•    Over view

Over all it’s a really good RC helicopter, does it’s job really well, great controls, looks good, and a decent price, I’d recommend it for the younger user, about 10 upwards but plenty of fun for everyone 4 out of 5 for me.

1:20th scale Mini RC Forklift Truck

1:20th scale Mini RC Forklift Truck

1/20 scale mini RC forklift truck which is an accurate replica of the full-size trucks, included is 4 cones, a pallet and a miniature crate to manoeuvre around so you can test your forklifting skills, or as i, and i expect most people will use it for, being lazy! whether you use it to pick up the remote from across the room and bring it to you, or allow the kids to play with it, it will be enjoyed!

• mini Forklift Speed
3/5

As you'd expect with it being a forklift truck it's not going to be zooming around, but your not going to be sat waiting for it to get anywhere, and getting bored and giving up before it does, reasonable enough really.

mini Forklift Handling
  3/5

Much like the speed you get pretty much what you'd expect, no drifting or donuts but a realistic forklift driving, and with abit of practise you'll be steering around the cones perfectly and quickly.

•   mini Forklift Looks
  3/5
Not going to be expecting the good looks of a ferarri or lamborgini, but it does have a pretty good detailed realistic looking forklift body right down to the steering wheel, seat and leavers inside the cab.
 •   mini Forklift Price
 4/5

Pretty cheap little toy here, and for a scale remote control forklift it is a similar price, if not cheaper than any normal simpler toy that won't give you/your kids anywhere near as much fun and possibilities as this!

•   mini Forklift Control Range
 3/5
Good enough, you won't be driving it across a field, but unless your house is really huge, your gonna be able to easily get it around everywhere without any problems.

  mini Forklift Battery Usage
  3/5

abit surprisingly the forklift uses 4 AAA batteries as aposed to the usual AA, and 1 9V in the controller and they will last more than long enough.

•   mini Forklift  Controller
3/5

Uses 1 9V battery, very small and simple controller, a simple button for each of the directions, backwards & forwards, and left & right aswell as a light switch style button on the top to raise and lower the forklift.

•   mini Forklift Over view

Basically this "toy" is alot of fun whether you buy it for the kids to play their games with, or for the 'boys' to use on the desks at work, or to aid their lazyness around the house, it's cheap, works really well and can do alot for either, over all we here at R/C Topgear reckon it's actually alot better than you'd expect and give it a high 3.5 out of 5

9074 R/C remote control Helicopter

9057 radio controlled helicopter review

•    Speed /height
3/5

Not really amazing height and speed with this, but you won't find yourself wanting for anything!
•    Handling
 5/5

Amazing handling, we've often found it abit difficult to get alot of helicopters to actually go backwards and forwards properly, but this little beauty does it with very little problems at all, brilliant.
Looks
4/5

Reasonable looking heli’ with a plastic moulded body, metal frame and a lot of lights around it, including a motion light on the rotor that especially in the dark/night time gives you a very exciting rave style light show as you fly.
•    Price
3/5

Not really sure about the price of this as it’s an exclusive to us at the moment and isn’t yet released until sometime next month, but I’d expect it to be a pretty good amount, especially for how good the copter is!

•    Control Range
4/5

We’ve had no problems with the range of this helicopter even with dwindling batteries it’s been near on perfect with the range, unless you try to fly it miles away you won’t have any problems
•    Battery Usage
5/5

The controller runs off 4 AA batteries and they last as with most controllers, and the helicopter it’s self has a li-polymer battery with a plug in charger, and lasts for a good hour or so of full on use!

•    Controller
4/5

Great controller with this, looks abit retro and has a lot of styling on it to look pretty technical, there’s also a left/right trim control on that allows that extra bit of control if it happens to be going off to 1 side, aswell as a power light bar at the top that lights up as you up the power.

•    Over view
Over all this is an excellent RC helicopter, looks good with pretty unique fun lights on the balance rotor, amazing handling allowing near perfect flight, great controller with everything you could want, and abit more, and great range. I’d suggest it for about 13 and up and give it a rating of a high 4 out of 5.

•    Speed
3/5

Nothing special about the speed of this car, but it’s not going to disappoint either but plenty of fun still enough speed to get some sideways action if your on the right terrain and is alot faster than most other cars in this price range, or abit dearer.
•    Handling
 4/5

Brilliant handling with this car much like the previous Ferrari your not going to be doing hardcore drifting or high speeds but you can handle your car more than adequately for pretty much anything you might want to do, gives more of a realistic driving experience rather than a toy one.
•    Looks
 4/5

Great looking car, it doesn’t have masses of detail on it but certainly looks like a very beautiful scale model of the dream super car Ferrari, fully working lights front and back, as well as a small flashing LED light inside so you know it's on and working, and a pretty nifty light show in the dark
    Price
 4/5

Priced in at around 10 15pounds you really cannot complain, very cheap enjoyable, exciting and beautiful little car

•    Control Range
 3/5

No real complaints in this section, but nothing to write home about either, decent enough range and control as you’d expect with a car of this style of car.

    Battery Usage
  3/5

Unlike the previous Ferrari this Lambo has a plug in battery pack which makes it alot easier and lasts alot longer, and run that bit smoother.
•    Controller
3/5

Uses 2 AA batteries, very small compact and simple controller nothing special on it, just does what it's there for can't complain but can't say anything about it.

•    Over view

This Lamborghini is a very good car basically the previous Ferrari, just a different car with a chargeable battery , decent looks, great drive, reasonably detailed and a lot of fun I would say it’s more for the younger kinds below the age of about 12/13 to enjoy fully, or for anyone who has ever dreamt of owning their very own Lambo but for the cheap price anyone else would still be able to have a lot of fun with it, all in all I’d give it a 4 out of 5.

 3/5

As with all of our tests we were using the same very cheap batteries in this case 5 AA batteries in the car and 1 9V in the controller, after about 20 30 minutes time the performance and ability of the car did distinguish, but after a short rest it did work fine again for a while, overall reasonable enough use of the batteries.

•   R/C Audi TT  Controller
4/5

Uses 1 9V battery good forward and reverse motion through one finger, reasonable looks and a simple easy turning mechanism, styled like a car wheel with soft tire grip nicely weighted, not to sharp and not to stiff.  Very nice moulded grip for ease and comfort, Overall a decent controller.

9057 R/C Remote Control Helicopter Review

9057 R/C Remote Control Helicopter

•    Speed /height
5/5

My god, only one word needed, PPOOOOWWWEEEEEERRRRRR. HUGE motors, HUGE cogs and even an independent motor and cogs for the tail rotor, raw size and power will blow anything else out of the sky!
•    Handling
 4/5

If you take it slow and concentrate on control this copter can do amazing things, it all again comes down to the power, if you dive right in it'll be up and gone and out of control before you know it! but if your skilled, or take your time, it'll be great!
•    Looks
4/5

Really good looking heli' even looking at it you get the feel of power with it's immense size, everything to do with this helicopter is just big and powerful!
•    Price
4/5

Although this is a pretty expensive copter I think it’s well worth it, if your interested in customization you can do it all, exciting controlled flying, it can do it, your not going to want or need anything else so it’s well worth the price.
    Control Range
5/5

The only way your going to get higher and further away is with a real life helicopter very very high, and far away, and all the way back brilliant.
•    Battery Usage
5/5

As with a lot of copters this doesn’t use batteries but does come with a plug in charger and you’ll need 4 AA batteries for the controller but mine are yet to run out yet after a few hours of fun.
•    Controller
3/5

Not the best of controllers with this one, it’s pretty big and chunky but does give you the feel that if you need a controller this big that it’s going to be controlling something mega, has all your needs on it up down, left right, around and around rudder control, aerial even has small feet to stand it up.
    Over view

Excellent, brilliant and you won’t find much better without selling your house to pay for it, it’s got everything, height, ability, control, looks, price, customizability, and that one thing that i've not yet mentioned, POWER, wouldn't let younger kids near it without supervision but teenagers should just be able to control it
I wouldn’t recommend anything else 5 out of 5 for me.

This Ferrari is a very good car, decent looks, great drive, reasonably detailed and a lot of fun I would say it’s more for the younger kinds below the age of about 12/13 to enjoy fully, or for anyone who has ever dreamt of owning their very own Ferrari but for the cheap price anyone else would still be able to have a lot of fun with it, all in all I’d give it a 4 out of 5.

2 Radio Controlled Infra-red fighting tanks

2 Radio Controlled Infra-red fighting tanks

These two small tanks are a lot of fun, each one has a sensor on-top which picks up if you get shot, 1 shot from the main gun, or 5 from the quick fire machine-gun will result in the loss of a life, 4 lives gone and your tank will shut down  and you will be dead!
•    Speed
3/5

Speed and movement isn’t the main aim of these tanks, it’s all about the fight so don’t be expecting to be zooming around, but you will get decent speed for a tank, realistic track driving and speed.
•    Handling
 4/5

Good handling, with the two slightly different tanks they each have slightly different abilities making this pair of tanks a bit more like a real life fight, the slightly larger one has that bit more speed, but cannot turn as quickly and easily, and the smaller one has less power, but more control but both tanks have an amazing ability to climb over things much better than many much bigger tanks.
•    Looks
4/5

Decent enough looks, not the most indepth and detailed tanks, but they looks good enough, and you will probably need to buy a scale model to get better detail, very good.
•    Price
3/5

Could be a little cheaper, but with the price of other Rc/toys about this is actually a pretty good price especially for what your getting, double the normal, two tanks! What price could you put on 2 kids quiet and having fun together?!
•    Control Range
4/5

Nothing to complain about, because these tanks run on infrared  the range isn’t going to be massive, but as infrared goes it’s pretty damn good!, we didn’t have any problems on our normal testing ground
•    Battery Usage
5/5

Each tank has it’s own rechargeable battery pack and plug in charger which last a long time, and charge up reasonably quickly and these tanks have 4 batteries in each controller which like most controllers will last and last and last!
•    Controller
4/5

Colour coded with the tank which I think is a nice little touch, good feel in the hands and nice controls, ridged directional sticks to give you that bit more grip, and nice easy to reach and use buttons for the turret control and firing mechanism
•    Gun
5/5

very fine guns on these tanks, each one has a realistic sounding gunshot and even has recoil from each shot and really does give a deadly feel to each shot, and whilst the turret is spinning you can use the same firing buttons as a machine gun.
•    Over view
Overall a lot of fun, looks really good, great guns, really good interaction with the other tank, amazing climbing and driving ability, good price, I’d recommend them, excellent.  4 out of 5

Exclusive 9059 radio controlled gunship helicopter Review

9059 radio controlled gunship helicopter review

Now we have an exclusive review of this excellent helicopter before its UK release!!
According to the box this beauty has a lifelike contour design that provides excellent stability and operability and high speed ability, and perhaps more importantly and what I think all copters should have, a high efficient gear slowdown system with super strong crash worthy propellers

•    Speed /height
3/5

Your not gonna be getting this helicopter miles into the sky but it is going to get pretty high still and more than high enough to enjoy overall it’s pretty good but could be abit better.
•    Handling
 5/5

Amazing handling/control with this ‘chopper the best we’ve had, you’ll be spinning around turning going backwards, forwards left right everything, we had a lot of fun with this.
Looks
4/5

Reasonable looking heli’ with a plastic moulded body, looks abit like a medic copter but very good and a lot of lights around it, including a motion light on the rotor that especially in the dark/night time gives you a very exciting rave style light show as you fly.
•    Price

Radio Controlled Subaru Impreza WRC 1:18 Licenced

Radio Controlled Subaru Impreza WRC 1:18 Licenced Review

•    Speed
4/5

Really good speed with this little car, quite surprising based on the little size but it can really move quite a lot faster than some of the bigger cars!
•    Handling
 4/5

Much like the speed  this car has great handling, and with the most simple controls it’s very easy to get around the corners, and with the speed if you get a smooth an slightly slippery floor you can even get abit of drift action on the go!
•    Looks
  4/5

superb looking car with great detail, it’s like having your very own tiny rally Subaru really good detail very nice looking car.
•    Price
  4/5

Really cheap car actually, it may be a small car but it is a lot of  fun and well worth the price, fast, great looks, great handling very good!
Control Range
 3/5

Nothing special but still very good you’ll struggle to get to far away to lose control.

•    Battery Usage
  4/5

As with most cars nowadays this comes with a built in battery and plug in charger which will last a long long time and the normal couple of batteries in the controller that will last more than long enough, excellent.
•    Controller
4/5

Simplicity seems to be the main aim from this controller, the simplest 4 button control, backwards, forwards, left and right big easy to use simple buttons no fuss very nice to use.
•    Over view
All in all this Mini Subaru rally car is a lot better than I was expecting, has great speed, really detailed looks, easy nice controller, great cheap price, really good handling, I would recommend to anyone whose a fan of the Subaru, scale models, or the younger kids, basically almost anyone can massively enjoy this car
I’d give it a 4 out of 5

Radio Controlled Earth Mover 3058-1 Construction digger

Radio Controlled Earth Mover 3058-1 Review

•    Speed
2/5

No real speed with this digger, but you wouldn’t expect to be racing about while doing the construction and it moves fast enough to do it’s job.
•    Handling
 3/5

As with the speed you wouldn’t be expecting spot on high speed cornering but it has quite a unique system where the front half of the body moves from left to right instead of just the wheels to steer, not the best but it turns and gives the feel of a real construction vehicle.
•    Looks
3/5

As this is just a replica model of a digger there’s not really much it can do in the way of looks but with mud effect tires and everything a real digger has it certainly does its job, although it’s not the best looking thing.
•    Price
 3/5

Pretty decent price, you get a nice big functional digger, looks like a digger, performs reasonable enough nice fair price.
•    Control Range
  3/5

Nothing amazing with this, it’s not gonna reach miles but can do more than enough and its doubtful you’ll encounter problems.
•    Battery Usage
 3/5

Same as most of the bigger vehicles with this, a built in rechargeable battery that comes with it’s own plug in charger and will last for a pretty long time, and only requires 1 9V battery in the controller which again will last a long long time.
•    Controller
2.5/5

Uses 1 9V battery pretty usual forward and backwards, and left and right motion along with 2 buttons below the control sticks to move the digger bucket up and down nice easy to use and colour coded with the digger, but I just get the feeling of cheapness with this controller, although it does everything and very capably it just doesn’t feel very durable. .
•    Over view
All in all this is a very good construction vehicle, really good size, great ability to pick up things and drop them, decent enough movements and an okay controller, all for a reasonable price not the best but is more than enough to keep the kids entertained for me it just gets a 3 out of 5.

Mini R/C Remote Control Stunt Vehicle

R/C Stunt Vehicle Review

•    Speed
3/5

Pretty good speed from this little car, although you’ll spend most of your time spinning and flipping around at high speeds, but you won’t be wanting for straight line either.

•    Handling
 3/5

The amount of spins, flips, and stunts you’ll be doin with this mini beast will keep your more than satisfied, you might find it abit tricky to drive around a corner, but your not gonna be wanting to do that with this, it’s all about the stunts.

•    Looks
2/5

Not really great looks on this, but it’s not about the looks, reasonable enough looks and colours to attract the younger kids, but other than that nothing exciting.
•    Price
 3/5

Nice cheap little car, and all contained in a nice little tub created with the controller, great for train journeys, or to keep the kids busy anywhere for a little while.

•    Control Range
  3/5

No real complaints in this section, nice control range, your not gonna want much range as ya gonna spend most the time spinning around doing the little stunts within a few feet, but you can get a pretty decent range either way.
•    Battery Usage
  4/5

Only needs a couple of batteries in the controller which are going to last for months and months which in turn charge up the car within a matter of minutes with a built in contained wire that simply plugs into the car, very good.
•    Controller
3/5

Uses 4 AA batteries, pretty normal. Not the most comfortable shape but works well, really simple button controls, built in charger for the car in a see through end section, and connects to the top casing to create the tub for the car, not to bad overall, pretty original ideas.

•    Over view
Over all it’s not a bad little car, charges up within minutes, looks bright and colourful, easy use, a lot of fun, can be used with practically no space easily, I’d recommend it for the younger kids to spin and flip about, below the ages of around 13, anything more would get bored reasonably quickly but overall I’d give it a 3 out of 5.

R/C Radio Controlled BB Firing Tank 3808

Radio Controlled BB Firing Tank 3808

Great little tank here, we've had ALOT of fun playing with this and shooting and climbing over anything an everything.
 •    Speed
3/5
As it’s a big tank don’t expect to be speeding around but for what it is it can shift, probably about the same speed as a normal cheap RC car, but because of it’s tank tracks, it can do that over any terrain.
•    Handling
 4/5

Really really good handling on this tank, you have 7 directional keys meaning you can easily go in any direction, backwards, forwards, forward left/right and backwards left/right or combine two of them for a quick 360 degree spin perfect for following the enemy!
•    Looks
5/5

Great looks on this as you can see from our video it could be mistaken for a real tank(if you excuse the size) and it’s customizable with stickers, full camouflage style paint and even a “driver” which can be fitted into the top of the tank.
•    Price
3/5

Really decent price for what you get with this tank, it can move, spin, full control over the turret, barrel and great firing mechanism you won’t find anything as good for cheaper.
•    Control Range
4/5

No complaints in this section, it’s not gonna reach for miles but more than enough and it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be running after it to regain control.
•    Battery Usage
5/5

With only 1 9V battery which surprisingly comes with it in the controller and a built in plug in rechargeable battery for the tank which will run and run and run, you’ll have more than enough battery to enjoy this for a long time.
•    Controller
4/5

Uses 1 9V battery  which comes in the box a pretty unusual one handed design for this controller but you can easily learn to use it perfectly, and has a nice grip, and easy reach for all buttons over all very good.
•    Gun/Turret
5/5

Great turret on this tank, amazing distance and power coming from the barrel with a fearsome warning light and noise according to the box it can reach up to 25m and from my experience that’s not an exaggeration and with a turret that can turn nearly 360 degrees you’ll be shooting down everyone with BB bullets
•    Over view
Overall this tank is excellent, decent enough speed, great looks, great control and ability to climb up and over just about anything you’ll encounter, powerful shooting, free battery, and targets to shoot at, all at a good price you won’t need anything more. I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

Radio Controlled 1/10 Scale R/C Drift Car – Flyingfish R/C EP-16

Radio Controlled 1/10 Scale R/C Drift Car – Flyingfish Review

Buy this car, buy it now!, it truly is that good and i would point anyone in the direction of this if they asked me which to buy!

•    Speed
5/5

Really good speed with this car as you'd probably expect if your expecting to be going sideways, according to the internet it has a top speed of 32KM/H to scale, very very fast!

•    Handling
 4/5

As this car is designed to be all about the handling, the sideways drifting action you'd expect really good handling from it and it certainly delivers, easy to get sideways, great turning circle, although it can be abit difficult to control if your not used to it, or you get the reasonably difficult settings wrong.

•    Looks
3/5

This car is more about performance than looks, although you can get alot of different styled plastic moulded bodies to slot right on top with different colours, styles, race cars, trucks, spoiler or no spoiler or even off-roader, under the body it is a much better situation with very real looking chrome alloy wheels, life like suspension, dampers etc etc.

•    Price
4/5

You won't be getting this car cheap, but it is well worth it, alot of fun to just drive, but then you can also spend hour upon hour replacing the various bits, modding everything and anything to create your very own customised high performance RC car exactly how you want it, you'd have to get a real car to get anything better in that department.

•    Control Range
3/5

with the size of the aerial in the controller you'd expect to get a control range over miles, now this may just be me as I've not seen any complaints from anyone else but the range i got was fairly standard but it was still enough for plenty of fun.

•    Battery Usage
5/5

a built in 7.2V battery with a plug in charger, and 6 AA batteries in the controller, i don't think I've had anything that last as long as this, I've had a good hour or 2 none stop high energy driving and drifting before it even started to waiver in extremely hot weather, amazing.

•    Controller
4/5

Uses 6 AA batteries in the base, very big manly feeling controller that full of gadgets, you can adjust the positioning of the 'trigger', invert the forward and backwards motion and the steering if you'd prefer, you can even adjust the wheel angle of your car if it's pulling to 1 side, or you for whatever reason want to aim a certain direction, and the same with the forwards and backwards direction.

•    Over view

I am in love with this car, it is truly amazing the amount of gizmo's you can get, chop and change, the high speed, the amazing drifting, decent enough looks, extra cushioned front end just in-case you crash, and at a reasonable enough price, I'd give it a 5 out of 5 and recommend it to the slightly older from about 15 upwards as it does require quite abit of control and ability but hardcore racers/drifters will love it.
